Eaton County Conservation Work Group Meeting

Over 900 Eaton County residents responded to Eaton Conservation District's 2026 Conservation Needs Assessment Survey, which concluded on June 30th. This survey is conducted by the District every five years and provides feedback from the community to help guide the District's work.

The public is invited to join with other partners to review and discuss the data collected. During the meeting, attendees will:

  • Review the results of the 2026 Conservation Needs Assessment

  • Rank local resource concerns in order of priority

  • Identify priority watersheds

  • Collect information about current projects in the County

  • Determine ways Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) can assist

  • Provide suggestions to NRCS for changes to ranking pools used in programs

The meeting will be held Wednesday, August 5th, 2026 1-2:30 pm at the Charlotte Community Library, Spartan Room. RSVPs are requested to Rachel Cuschieri-Murray, ECD Executive Director at rachel.murray@macd.org or 517-667-2455
