Meet at Lion’s Park in Dimondale to enjoy light treats from MorningLory Cafe & Bakery.

Denise Parisian will be sharing a presentation about the impressive rain garden that was installed at Danford Island.

Community members will receive awards for their efforts to support conservation in Eaton County in the last year.

District Staff will provide entertainment for all ages with conservation-themed carnival games.

Then take a short walk to visit the Dandford Island Rain Garden yourself while it is in full bloom. Jane Barstow-Boettcher will offer a guided tour and answer your questions. You will learn about the benefits of using native plants in your rain garden, including what native species were chosen for this project and why. You will also learn how rain gardens help clean our water, and how they help support butterflies and other pollinators.
