Legacy Blueberry
Size: 8-12"
The Legacy Blueberry (Vaccinium x 'Legacy') bush is a heavy producer of very sweet, medium sized fruit. These blueberries are great for jams, smoothies, and eating fresh. Bears fruit after 3-5 years. In the spring, the shrub grows pale pink flowers which eventually turn into late ripening blueberries to extend the harvest.
When planting, it is important to remember that it needs full sun and soil that is acidic, well-drained, and moist. The plant will grow for about 10 years and at maturity this plant will reach 4 to 6 feet in height and 3 to 4 feet wide. The fruit on this plant tends to weigh it down, to prevent this make sure to trim it annually.
Plant the roots in a shallow, 6-inch-deep hole. Water the plant often and do not trim the roots.
